In March 2020, the Senate President and House Speaker convened the Joint Covid-19 Response Legislative Work Group.

The Work Group is monitoring the effects of the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) in Maryland. Further, it supports the Governor and the Maryland Department of Health in their work to contain the coronavirus, and advises the General Assembly on any actions they should be taking.
